The Greater Manchester ESF Community Grant is a £4.9 million programme to tackle unemployment. It was launched in April 2019 with backing from the European Social Fund. You can apply for funding if you're a third sector organisation with a turnover of less that £700,000 and 10 full time staff, run on a not for profit basis, including:

  • constituted community and voluntary groups
  • registered charities

  • community interest companies (CIC's)

You cannot apply for the funding if you're in direct receipt of European Social Fund (ESF) funding or other ESF co-financing with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) or National Offender Management Service (NOMS). Organisations need to have been in operation for a minimum of 12 months.
