Sir A. Brumwell Thomas Room
The Sir A. Brumwell Thomas room within the Stockport Register Office offers beautiful surroundings in which to get married. It is a perfect setting for friends and family to savour the moment.
Seating up to 55 people, the Sir A Brumwell Thomas room is air-conditioned, tastefully furnished and decorated with a magnificent chandelier hanging from the barrel roof.
The room also incorporates a built-in sound system which includes a loop hearing facility.
The fees for marriages in the Sir A Brumwell Thomas room, inclusive of one marriage certificate, are as follows:
- Monday to Thursday £190
- Friday £275
- Saturday £330
The law requires that you are accompanied by two credible witnesses at your ceremony. They may be relatives, friends or colleagues, but must be able to speak and understand English.
This room is named after Sir A. Brumwell Thomas FRIBA, the original architect of Stockport Town Hall, which opened in 1908.
