Exclusion reviews

If your child has been permanently excluded from school in the last 15 school days, you can apply for your case to be reviewed by the Independent Appeals Panel.

The panel is made up of a pool of volunteers. They're independent of the local authority and the admissions service as required under the School Standard and Framework Act 1998.

Any decision made by a panel is made completely independent from the admissions service and is binding on parents, the school and the local authority.
