This weekly yoga class is for autistic young women, aged 16 and over.
The class provides a supportive and nurturing practice and environment that enhances physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. It helps improve:
- motor skills
- coordination
- body awareness
It also provides effective tools for managing anxiety and stress, and improving sleep patterns through calming breathing techniques and mindfulness.
By encouraging a sense of routine and predictability, yoga creates a safe space for developing better emotional regulation and self-esteem.
The non-competitive and inclusive nature of yoga promotes social connection, enabling young women to engage in a shared activity that supports their overall development and sense of community and belonging.
This course is free to attend thanks to generous funding from the Forever Manchester/CDL Fund.
