Stockport Symphony Orchestra concert: A family matinee

Our Christmas matinee concert this year will include 2 animated films with live orchestra: the Bear and the Piano, and Peter and the Wolf.

You might already know Peter and the Wolf but this is a special version accompanying a new animated film telling the story of how Peter manages to trick and capture a dangerous wolf, with assistance from his animal friends.

Alongside that is Saint-Saens ever-popular Carnival of the Animals illustrated on the big screen, and the beguiling tale of The Bear and the Piano, an animated version of the beautifully illustrated and charming tale of music, friendship and adventure by award-winning children's author David Litchfield.

All that with our usual sprinkling of seasonal fun for all the family!

Narrated by Emma Cunliffe and featuring Nye Hughes Watts as "The Bear!"

Please note that in December there will be some seating at the front reserved for families with children. Come early!
