About this event
This training is recommended for family members, carers and workers who need to use Makaton at home and in their work and have already attended level 1 training.
This training is an essential part of the entry criteria for Makaton Tutor Training.
This is a practical introductory workshop. You'll learn signs and symbols from the Core Vocabulary, stages 3 and 4. This includes:
- food
- animals
- transport
- actions
- my and your
- school vocab
- basic prepositions such as in, on, under
- health
You'll also learn methods for implementing and using Makaton.
Participants receive a manual that includes the signs and symbols learnt.
