Priestley’s 1938 British farce begins when a group of old friends, all married on the same day in the same chapel, gather at the Helliwells home to celebrate their Wedding Anniversary. When they discover that they are not legally married, each couple initially reacts with proper Victorian horror “what will people think?” but soon all three couples find themselves re-evaluating their marriages. Of course everything turns out well in the end.
This amateur production is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd a Concord Theatricals Company.
