A beginners workshop teaching you five decorative and versatile embroidery stitches, fundamental to mastering the art of hand embroidery. If you have even a basic knowledge of stitch and want to develop your skill, then this workshop is for you.

With support and practice, you'll add each stitch to your own sampler for future reference, and once mastered you'll use these fabulous stitches to create a modern piece of embroidered art.

You'll be guided every step of the way, so that you'll leave the workshop feeling confident with a beautifully hand crafted item, a sampler, step by step instructions, memories of a lovely day and the skills to make many more unique and gorgeous pieces of your own.

All materials including the needle will be provided and are yours to takeaway so you can start making immediately. The classes are small, no more than six people to ensure you have all the attention and space to master this skill.

The workshop is run by Hannah Wiles, a qualified teacher with a first class honours degree in embroidery and a Masters degree in textiles. She's had exhibitions in Manchester, London and Liverpool and has worked with the Royal British Society of Sculptors.

Refreshments will be provided.
