Embark on a journey to interactively discover centuries of art. Under the light of the striking artworks produced during the 18th and 19th century all around Europe, this session, part of the series ‘An Essential Art History’, will take us to consider and discuss how increasingly society had an impact on the arts, in a process that paved the way to the opening of new horizons.
The series features eight sessions, stretching from the Middle Ages to the present; they are interactive, dynamic and engaging, and have been designed by art historian Sara Riccardi (History of Art MA in Rome, founder of Art Across) to create connections between the past and the present, highlighting in a chronological overview the threads linking together centuries of artistic production. The aim is to provide you with a new set of categories that will change the way you enjoy art, and which can go on to inform your work, artistic practice or further academic or personal studies.
Each session can be booked and attended separately, but the series is enjoyed at its best by attending regularly.
Ticket: £20, special offer for the full course £120
