Embark on a journey to interactively discover centuries of art, gold, plaster, increasing virtuosity and eye-tricks. Also discover intimate everyday life scenes and delicate still lives: the 17th century was a period of exciting artistic diversification and ever-growing international connections, which we will be exploring in this session, part of the series ‘An Essential Art History’.
The series features eight sessions, stretching from the Middle Ages to the present; they are interactive, dynamic and engaging, and have been designed by art historian Sara Riccardi (History of Art MA in Rome, founder of Art Across) to create connections between the past and the present, highlighting in a chronological overview the threads linking together centuries of artistic production.
The aim is to provide you with a new set of categories that will change the way you enjoy art, and which can go on to inform your work, artistic practice or further act academic or personal studies.
Each session can be booked and attended separately, but the series is enjoyed at its best by attending regularly.
Ticket: £20, special offer for the full course £120
