Reference to the use of Education Penalty Notices as a sanction is to be included in any Attendance Enforcement Policy produced by the LA.
All School Attendance policies should include information on the use of Education Penalty Notices. Information will be provided to schools by Stockport Family which could be adapted by schools to meet their own needs in informing parents about Education Penalty Notices.
The LA will include information on the use of Education Penalty Notices and other attendance enforcement sanctions in promotional/public information material (such as the LA website, truancy sweep leaflets and a specific Education Penalty Notice leaflet).
