Early Help Assessment

6. Training

Training is available for anyone working with children and young people who would be expected to complete an EHA, take part in a TAC or act as a Lead Professional.

Now the EHA is completed online there are two training options to support you:

E-learning module

This introduces you to the system that the EHA is housed in. In order to access this system you need to complete the Data Protection level 1 and the online training. You'll then be required to sign a user acceptance agreement and gain appropriate permission from your line manager or board of governors. Once all of this is in place you'll be given access to the EIS system and you will be able to complete the Early Help Assessment online.

Effective Use of the Early Help Assessment

This full day course focuses on effective engagement, assessment and planning skills in relation to the Early Help Assessment. It explores key areas including overcoming barriers to engagement, quality of recording and effective TAC meetings. The programme runs from September to July each year.

You can complete the e-learning and book on the classroom based course via Learning pool. Setting up an account is quick and easy. For more information please visit our Workforce Development pages.
