Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Enforcement Policy

About the document

We've adopted this policy to make sure that individuals, businesses, and others can:

• understand what to expect from its Building Control inspectors
• improve compliance in terms of the building regulations where necessary

The aim of proper enforcement is to protect the public, the environment and groups such as consumers or workers, while supporting economic progress.

This document sets out the basic principles followed in enforcing Building Control legislation in the borough of Stockport.
