About us
We're a primary and secondary aged youth club for children with a diagnosis of autism who do not require 1:1 support.
Our youth club has approximately 18 to 20 children who are supported by 7 to 8 trained and experienced support staff from Together Trust.
We offer children a number of different activities and things to do, including:
- computer games
- DVDs
- arts and crafts
- puppets
- construction play
- cooking and baking
- Lego
- board games
- team-building games, such as football, basketball, rounders and treasure hunts
- quiet/sensory spaces
The club gives parents a short break from caring and offers children with autism the opportunity to mix with their peers, without their parents, in a safe and supportive environment. It's anticipated the children develop friendships, independence, confidence and life skills.
If you're interested in your child attending the youth club you need to contact the Children with Disabilities Short Breaks team.
