About us

Are you discouraged from walking or wheeling to use local amenities and public transport because of speeding traffic, lack of safe crossing points, narrow pavements and obstructions?

This is a local, volunteer group of Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking. We're keen to achieve a safer, more accessible walking and wheeling environment in Hazel Grove and to encourage walking as the natural choice for everyday, local journeys for pedestrians, pram pushers and people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

We want to see a change in the hierarchy of travelling in urban areas, after years of domination by motor vehicles. Now we want to make it easier, safer, healthier and more enjoyable for people to go about their everyday business by walking or wheeling.
