About us
A group of volunteers who look after the ancient 9 hectare woodland of Carr Wood, Bramhall.
We:
- run task days every third Saturday when we manage the vegetation to control invasive species and enhance biodiversity
- run nature surveys to encourage public interest and knowledge and contribute to local and national data bases
- maintain the public path
- monitor the condition of the river and liaise with Mersey River Trust
- have successfully campaigned to get United Utilities to reduce the outflows into the river
- liaise with other environmental groups through Bramhall's Green Network
