About us

We're a registered charity dedicated to supporting families managing allergies, asthma, and eczema.

Our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive community where families can connect, access essential resources, and receive the support they need to navigate life with these conditions.

Many parents of children with severe allergies avoid traditional playgroups due to the risk of exposure to allergens. At Free From Families, we provide a safe, allergen-free environment where children can play without fear, and parents can build a network of support with others who understand their journey.

We also offer a collection of books and resources for both children and adults covering topics related to allergies, asthma, eczema, and mental health. Families can borrow these books to learn more about managing these conditions and improving their wellbeing.

We provide practical support on topics such as:

• mental health
• holiday planning
• breastfeeding
• weaning

Our resources include:

• recipes
• mindfulness journal pages
• guides to help families feel more confident in their daily lives

We collaborate with local health professionals, including the Stockport Health Visiting Team, School Nursing Team, and breastfeeding support services, to make sure families have access to expert advice and resources. We also run workshops and educational sessions in partnership with local businesses and organisations.
