hello@speechwisetherapy.co.ukAbout us
SpeechWise is an independent provider of Speech and Language Therapy Services Stockport, working in and around Greater Manchester. Our team of speech and language therapists and assistants work with schools and local authorities, in care settings, and with families to give a voice to children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
We provide assessments, interventions and training to ensure everyone we work with has the right help to communicate. We work with a whole range of age groups; from toddlers right up to young adults.
Our service offer includes:
- weekly and fortnightly whole-school services covering nurseries, primary, secondary, colleges and specialist settings. These services are usually funded directly by the school or sometimes by a local authority
- 1:1 services for individual children and young people to provide assessment, intervention and training. These services can be funded directly by families or sometimes by other organisations such as local authorities or social care
- our award-winning Teens+ service which supports teenagers and adults, either on a 1:1 basis or via regular services to care organisations or high schools/colleges, empowering young people to work towards the skills and life goals that are most important to them
- our innovative On Demand Training Hub provides instantly accessible training to schools and professionals on a range of communication differences, strategies and interventions. This is available to any school as a cost-effective subscription service so that training can be accessed anytime and anywhere
- our Parent Info Hub, which provides useful, straightforward short-form video information and downloads to parents and carers of children with communication needs, available to purchase by any parent or carer
- Learning disabilities
- Physical disabilities
- Deaf or hard of hearing
- SEND: Inclusive
