Friends of Tangshutt

About us

We are a voluntary community group who aim to improve the green space at Tangshutt for people and wildlife. Tangshutt is a wonderful green space between Cherry Tree and Romiley in Stockport.

We also:

• organise events and activities to help the public enjoy the green space e.g May Day on the Meadow and Summer Sports Sessions for children and young people
• lead a weekly health walk through Tangshutt aimed at people who do little exercise, recovering from illness or to reduce isolation
• fundraise for events and activities and new facilities e.g. playground and outdoor gym
• do wildlife recording and task days to improve the green space
