About us
Established in 2018, Culture Bridge is a CIC Limited community group facilitating a dialogue of communication and trust between cultures and the advancement of education of the public.
We aim to push our limits through ideas and creations. Since 2018, Culture Bridge’s successfully managed to run 3 regular art and culture workshops: 1. Refugee Connect 2. Women art and culture 3. Children Art & Culture.
We believe we can build our community together, through sharing our art and cultural talents and skills. Most our volunteers are lived experience refugees and migrants from Iran, Iraq and Kurdistan. They’ve successfully produced and performed wonderful art and cultural activities and workshops during the last 6 years.
We have our WARAN band who are a group of musicians from Middle East producing classic , traditional and folk songs from different cultures. The name ‘Waran’ means Rain in many languages from the middle east and Asian countries. The name was specifically chosen by the band, as expressing each droplet of rain has been made into a different melody, which connects the multicultural art and cultures together.
Waran currently embraces a multicultural collaboration of Farsi, Luri, Kurdish, Arabic and Irish music. The aim is to create more cultural bridges in our community.
