About us

Here at The Mess and Play Company we offer lots of services and activities for children and young people to access. We offer classes for specific age groups or abilities such as messy play and crafts.

We offer sessions solely for attendance by families with children who have SEND needs. This session is on the 1st Sunday of every month. The centre remains closed to the general public, lights are lowered and music is switched off. Number of attendees is limited to enable enjoyment for all our visitors.

We also offer alternative provision for children and young people currently not engaging in mainstream education or struggling with attendance due to a number of different reasons. We differentiate each session to the learner that is attending meaning that elements listed on EHCPs are met.

We aim for all our sessions to be fun and engaging for our learners to get the best result. We offer hands-on experiences of making and producing items to take home after completion.

We currently offer craft sessions every weekend with a different activity available each week to keep learners engaged. This can be a selection of activities such as:

• paint a pot
• slime making
• cooking
• crafts
• knitting
• canvas painting
• diamond art
  plus lots more

We have an educational role play area for our visitors to enjoy with 10 different themed areas such as kitchen/supermarket, Hairdressers, Vets, Hospital or home area.
