Adswood Young People's Centre closed
Adswood Young People’s Centre has had to close due to a serious building safety issue. Stockport Council is working closely with Autisk to identify a suitable alternative space.
Read a joint statement on the closure by Stockport Council, Autisk and Parents and Carers Together Stockport (PACTS).
We're a constituted support community group. For families who have children and young people with autism, anxiety and other disabilities/learning difficulties, we offer:
- social groups
- workshops
- advice and signposting to families
No diagnosis is needed to join our groups as we're very aware that it's hard on the pathway to diagnosis.
We have a fully functional sensory room that can be accessed for free via our social groups.
We welcome families from all areas of Stockport and surrounding areas.
Autisk gaming and coding club

These sessions are open on a drop-in basis, and parents need to stay to accompany children.
The sessions are for 3 hours but there is no requirement to be there for the whole time.
