We're committed to improving dignity in care for people in Stockport.
We aim to make sure that the people who use our local health and care services have a positive personal experience. Read the Dignity in Care Partnership Agreement (PDF 88Kb) for information about the levels of service people in need of care can expect to receive.
Stockport Safeguarding Adults Board have also produced a Dignity in care leaflet (PDF 2.88Mb) which includes the 10 key parts that quality care should include and that you have a right to.

Dignity in Care campaign
The Dignity in Care campaign aims to put dignity and respect at the heart of UK care services.
The campaign's core values are:
- having dignity in our hearts minds and actions
- changing the culture of services
- placing a greater emphasis on improving the quality of care and the experience of citizens using services

A Dignity Champion is someone who believes passionately that being treated with dignity is a basic human right, not an optional extra. They believe that care services must be:
- compassionate
- person centred
- efficient
- and are willing to try to do something to achieve this
