On the day of your appointment you'll need to go to:

Parking is available at our John Street entrance (permits are issued at the Register Office reception).

What happens next

You can buy a death certificate at the time of registration or any time afterwards for £12.50. If you want to buy more death certificates after your registration appointment, visit our copy certificates page.

Fees for additional registration services

Under the Immigration Act 2016, the Home Office introduced fees to cover the costs of additional registration services. These fees are as follows:

  • consideration by a Registrar or Superintendent Registrar of a correction application: £83
  • consideration by the Registrar General of a correction application: £99

This fee depends on which information needs to be corrected.
