1. The Real Public Art Show

This exhibition is presented by Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery and Stockport Town of Culture.
We're proud to launch this year’s Stockport Open Exhibition as The Real Public Art Show! Creatives have once again shown how talented they are and have given us the opportunity to display their fabulous artworks and creative writing.
The Real Public Art Show aims to celebrate everything Stockport, from frogs to football and the viaduct to hats, there really is something for everyone in this exhibition.
Visitors to the exhibition have the chance to vote for their favourite adult and child's piece of work in the People’s Choice Award, so make sure you pick up a voting slip during your visit. The Mayor of Stockport will announce the winners on Saturday 2 September at 3pm.
We're also hosting the Gwen Riley Jones Photography Exhibition ‘Stockport Extraordinary’ which was Commissioned by Stockport Council and the GMCA Culture Fund. Gwen collaborated with people across Stockport to notice the extraordinary in their everyday lives. This project celebrates the talents of residents and inspires a new wave of Stockport photographers to record their changing environment.
