We have submitted a bid to the Department for Transport for £1.7M to construct a road between Wellington Street and Waterloo Road. Along with other works to improve pedestrian facilities on the junction of Spring Gardens and Waterloo Road.
The funding is needed to enable the site at Hopes Carr to be opened up for new phases of housing development. It's hoped that this will help to ‘kick start’ the regeneration of the area between Wellington Street, Hopes Carr and Waterloo Road.
