Members' allowances
Our Constitution includes a Members' Allowance Scheme that sets out the allowances paid to Councillors and Co-opted Members to enable them to carry out their duties.
Independent Remuneration Panel
The panel makes recommendations to the council on the level of allowances payable to members. The panel reviews the allowance scheme every four years.
The current schedule of allowances payable to councillors and co-opted members was revised and came into effect from May 2017.
