Council Tax Support Fund

The government is providing us with new funding in 2023 to 2024, to support some households with their Council Tax payments. Some of this funding will be distributed to residents who are receiving Council Tax Support and have a Council Tax bill pay.

If your bill is more than £25 then there will be a discount of £25 applied to it. If your bill is £25 or less then it will be reduced to zero.

Your Council Tax Support notification letter will confirm how much additional payment you will receive from the government’s Council Tax Support Fund. The relief will be displayed on your bill as Council Tax Discretionary Relief, with the amount as a credit. The instalments you pay will be automatically reduced by the amount of help you receive from the Council Tax Support Fund.
