Tier 3 financial support
The government recently announced further financial support measures to help businesses who are legally required to close due to tier 3 restrictions, as well as packages of wider financial support measures for other businesses impacted by coronavirus.
We will shortly publish full details of which businesses will be eligible to receive a grant, as well as information about how you can apply once we have received the appropriate confirmation from government.
Coronavirus in Stockport
3. Getting tested
We've been working with Stockport’s Clinical Commissioning Group and other partners to create additional drive through testing facilities. These are in addition to those offered by the national and regional testing programmes.
The drive through testing facilities are now open for Stockport residents and workers who are eligible for testing in line with government guidance. You can be tested if you have any of these coronavirus related symptoms:
- a new continuous cough
- a high temperature
- a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)
We have testing available in Stockport locations, as well at the airport and the Etihad stadium. You can also book a home test if you do not have access to a car. To book a test visit GOV.UK or call 119.
If you have symptoms you must continue to self-isolate at home for 10 days from when you first noticed your symptoms. If you live with someone who has symptoms, you must self-isolate for 14 days from their first symptom.
