Complaints about Adult Social Care

We are always happy to receive feedback from people who use services, their families or their representatives and also from staff who work in health and social care. We will use what you tell us to build up a picture of the quality of care in Stockport.

We welcome comments and compliments and where we find that something is working really well, we will tell other care providers about it. We will also tell local providers about national best practice, and new standards and guidelines for improving the quality of care.

If you have a concern or complaint about the quality of care we always recommend that you speak to the care provider first. In the majority of cases they will be able to resolve the matter. If you are still not happy, the Quality Team will respond promptly and advise you. We will always try to:

  • Put things right
  • Be customer focused
  • Be open and accountable
  • Act fairly and proportionately
  • Use the opportunities to improve our services
