The Community Champions programme brings together the insight and relationships of Stockport’s volunteer community to improve health outcomes of local people.
Volunteers gain information about the communities they work in, including what they need, what they do and do not like, what works for them and more. Being part of the Community Champions programme provides volunteers with the tools to delve deeper into their communities to draw out insights on health issues. The insights gathered can then be used to help shape local health services. This means that Stockport’s diverse communities get the best out of their health service and ultimately enjoy greater health benefits.

The Community Champions programme is funded by Stockport Council and delivered by Sector3 with support from local Social Enterprise and Starting Point.
