We want know how many children and young people have a disability or special needs in Stockport. We want to know how much their everyday life is affected.

The Children's Act 1989 requires that each council must keep a Children's Disability Register. It helps to improve services now and in the future for children and young people with disabilities.

About the information you provide

The information you provide is held confidentially and securely within Stockport Council.

The information will be used to keep you up to date with information about appropriate services for your family. It can also be used if we would like to survey the views of families if we're considering changes to the services we provide. We may use the information to produce reports that we can use to plan and develop services.
