2. Entertainment licences
Licences are issued to children from birth up to the date they are no longer of compulsory school age. Compulsory school age ceases on the last Friday in June in the school year where the child reaches 16.
Licences are issued for children and young people who live in Stockport regardless of where the performance / activity is taking place. Services for Young People inform other Local Authorities when a child licensed by Stockport is to be performing in their area.
Completing the application
Licence applications are generally received from an agent in the case of modelling and a Director in the case of other performances.
Parents have a part to play in the application process but are not responsible for making the application.
