Finding childcare
If you've received a letter and a code, take this to your preferred nursery, childminder or pre-school. You can then find out if they have a space for your child.
If you've not received a letter, but think you may be entitled to free childcare, you can find out if you're eligible.
If you think you are eligible, email us at eyportal@stockport.gov.uk.

When you visit your preferred provider you can agree how you'll use your free hours and arrange a start date.
There should be no:
- registration fee charged for your free hours if the setting is able to offer them to you
- conditions of access you have to agree to in order to take-up the free hours. For example, you must not be forced to pay for additional hours in order to have your free entitlement
- fees charged for free hours. Providers should not charge 'top up' fees for the difference between what providers would normally charge and the funding they receive from us, in relation to any free hours
