Stockport Family offers a universal buy-back service to all secondary schools in Stockport. This is an offer of an independent, impartial careers interview for all young people in year 11 to explore post 16 options and develop individual action plans. Schools can also buy back additional services to support young people as part of the schools careers education programme.
Stockport Family Careers and Transitions Team targets and supports all young people with special educational needs/disabilities (SEND) and Looked after children (LAC) in all secondary schools from year 9. This includes support with the completion and review of the Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), attending SEN and LAC reviews and providing IAG interviews to explore post 16 options.
