Stockport Economic Inactivity Trailblazer
The Economic Inactivity Trailblazer Paid Work Placement Programme offers grants to local businesses to offer meaningful, 6-month paid placements for Stockport residents who are economically inactive – not currently working or actively seeking work – and face barriers to employment.
The initiative, run in partnership with Stockport Homes, will support individuals into work by providing employers with a grant to cover the Real Living Wage and Employer National Insurance contributions. Placements must be additional opportunities (not replacing existing roles or apprenticeships), offering structured, high-value work experience.
