Garden and building waste

We offer a garden and building household waste collection.

Items we cannot collect

  • Any item weighing more than 50 kilograms
  • Asbestos or cement roofing sheets
  • Bi-fold patio doors
  • Bricks
  • Building rubble
  • Building structures, garages or sheds
  • Chemicals
  • Clinical waste
  • Compressed gas bottles: Calor, LPG or Propane
  • Concrete fence panel and posts
  • Garage door
  • Glass sheet
  • Greenhouse
  • Hazardous material
  • Heavy large treadmill or workout equipment
  • Industrial machinery
  • Insulating material
  • Paving slabs
  • Piano
  • Plaster board
  • Soil or earth
  • Stone fireplace
  • Stone garden furniture
  • Supermarket trolley
  • Turf
  • Vehicle battery
  • Vehicle parts and fittings

Items we can collect

Items must be a manageable size and a maximum length of 2 metres.

  • Bagged garden waste
  • Bath
  • Bath panel
  • Boiler unit, drained
  • Cupboard
  • Dismantled outdoor play item, swings or slides
  • Garden fence panel
  • Internal or external door
  • Pieces of wood, skirting board or door frame
  • Radiator
  • Single patio door
  • Sink or wash hand basin
  • Storage heater, with brick removed
  • Tiles, any type in builder's bags
  • Toilet bowl or cistern, must be cleaned
  • Trees, must be cut into manageable pieces
  • Window frame
  • Wooden fire surround
  • Wooden garden gate
  • Wooden post
  • Work top or work surface

Collection cost

The cost is £150 per hour.

Arrange a collection

Call 0161 217 6111, Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 5pm and Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

You must pay in full by debit or credit card when you book the collection.

You'll need:

  • your full postal address
  • contact telephone number
  • a list of items to be collected
  • your debit or credit card

You cannot add extra items to your order. If you need any more items collecting, you must make a new booking and it will be charged as a new collection.
