Bulky household waste collection
We collect household items from your home, such as furniture, appliances and soft furnishings. You can read information about our discounted bulky waste collection.
How it works
Bulky waste is split into 3 waste types and each type will be collected on different days.
- electrical items, such as washing machines, fridge freezers and electric recliners
- non-electrical items, such as beds, mattresses, wardrobes, chests of drawers and carpets
- soft furnishings, such as sofas, armchairs and upholstered chairs, including computer or desk chairs, dining chairs and pouffes
Waste types
Mattresses are classed as non-electrical items.
Sofas, armchairs and other upholstered furniture are classed as soft furnishings. This is because they need special treatment to meet safety and environmental standards.
If you have items from more than one waste type, you’ll need to select different collection dates within the booking form.
You'll need to book a separate collection if you have any garden and building waste.
Collection cost
The cost depends on how many household items are collected.
| Number of items | Price |
|---|---|
| 1 | £30 |
| 2 | £50 |
