Stockport Homes donations

We'll now be taking furniture donations from 7 January 2019.

The following charitable organisations may be willing to accept furniture and electrical items:

Stockport Homes Furniture Recycling Service

Stockport Homes has a furniture recycling service with the aim of helping those in need when moving house or to a new property. The service collects furniture and electrical white goods from across Stockport through donations and empty properties.

Soft furnishing need to comply with 1988 safety regulations - most armchairs, sofas have a label at the bottom.

You can also advertise your bulky furniture items free of charge in the local paper and on some websites such as Freecycle and Stockport Freegle.

You can take items to your local tip or recycling centre themselves, at no charge. Please note that Bredbury is the only tip that has access for vans.
