September 2024 update
Preparations for the building and restoration work are currently underway and include:
- surveying the building and site
- appointing a specialist contractor to carry out the roof works
- consulting conservation specialist on how to protect the Grade 1 Listed, building and the collections housed here during the roof restoration works
- consulting with ecologists to minimise the impact of the works on the protected bat colony that reside within the roof spaces
- preparing exciting new programming so that the public can engage with the restoration project
We have some exciting new events and activities coming soon, which will run alongside the restoration project and beyond to make sure that our community can get involved with their local hall.
