1. About the Historic Talks 2023 programme
We are very excited to announce the 2023 line-up for our historic talks programme 2023.
We have some sensational speakers visiting the Hall this year.
First out in April is John White who will bring us ‘An audience with King Henry VIII.
In June international bestselling historical author Alison Weir returns to the Hall to share with us her vast knowledge about Elizabeth of York, the late white rose and mother of Henry VIII.
In September we will be joined by Dr. Gareth Williams, who will bring to life King Charles II, described as the “The Merrie Monarch” due to his many mistresses. He was also a great supporter of the early scientists and all the arts, he did much to encourage learning and brought England’s glory on wonderfully well.
Last but not least the sensational Lesley Smith, will return to the Hall in November, this time as Nell Gwynne, Charles II most famous mistress.
Talks are £14 per person and are aimed at adults and recommended from 16 plus.
