Bilingual Assistants work with pupils who are new to English to help settle them into all aspects of school life and support them in accessing the curriculum.
Bilingual support encourages bilingual children to continue to use, develop and value their first language as well as learning English.
Bilingual Assistants play an important role in developing the self-esteem of children from black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, and can help schools form relationships with parents. Our training programme makes sure that our Bilingual Assistants are highly skilled.
