Age-Friendly Action Plan 2025/26
Our vision is for Stockport to be a place where all people age well and thrive in older age.
The objectives to deliver our vision are:
- to develop age-friendly and inclusive communities for all residents
- to provide services and community offers in ways that are fully inclusive
- to promote policies which increase resilience, independence and wellbeing
We've identified 10 domains for action:
- housing
- respect and inclusion
- social participation
- employment and civic participation
- transportation
- communication and information
- community support and health services
- outdoor spaces and buildings
- active ageing
- digital inclusion
