3. Admissions appeals - Summer 2020

The dates listed below are for appeals for places in Year 7 or Reception in September 2020.

Please note that the dates below may be subject to change as a result of our response to coronavirus.

Secondary Schools

  • Monday 2 March 2020: offer date for Year 7 places
  • Sunday 29 March 2020: deadline for receipt of appeals form

Appeal Panels will then meet:

  • week starting 4 May 2020
  • week starting 11 May 2020
  • week starting 18 May 2020
  • week starting 25 May 2020

Primary Schools

Please note that the dates below may be subject to change as a result of our response to coronavirus.

  • Thursday 16 April 2020: offer date for Reception places
  • Tuesday 19 May 2020: deadline for receipt of appeals form

Appeal Panels will then meet:

  • week starting 15 June 2020
  • week starting 22 June 2020
  • week starting 29 June 2020

Any appeals not submitted by these deadlines will be considered:

  • week starting 6 July 2020
  • week starting 13 July 2020

Note: If you wish to submit further information to support your appeal then you may do so up to 3 days before the date of appeal.

You'll receive at least 10 school days notice of the date of your appeal. You'll also receive a copy of the Admission Authorities case outlining their reasons for refusal and any other information. You'll receive this before your appeal. It will be sent to you by recorded delivery.

The decision of the Appeals Panel will be communicated to you in writing and sent within 5 school days of the conclusion of the appeal hearings for that school.
