About the Armed Forces Covenant

Overview

We're working with the armed forces to help and support current and former service men and women and their families in the local area.

We produced our first local covenant in 2012 and have refreshed it every 3 years since then. Our covenant is developed and overseen by our Armed Forces Covenant Partnership Group which has representatives from:

• Stockport Council
• other public service providers
• charity and voluntary sector organisations
• the local armed forces community.

Our most recent Covenant includes a list of the priorities that we aim to focus on between 2021 to 2024.
