The walks are ideal for those who have been advised by their doctor or nurse to increase their physical activity, but may be apprehensive about how much they can do.
The current health walks are up to 30 minutes, some of those who regularly attend started off walking for no more than 10 or 15 minutes at a steady rate and have gradually built up distance and pace.
