Draft Cycling Strategy and Draft Walking Strategy Consultation

The Council is currently undertaking consultation on the Draft Cycling Strategy and the Draft Walking Strategy. As part of this consultation we would like to invite you to comment on the two documents by December 14th.

There is a national recognition that there is a need to encourage people to cycle or walk for short journeys to improve the health and wellbeing of the population, and to reduce transport related pollution for shorter journeys. The draft strategies have been developed in order to guide the way in which the Council encourages and promotes cycling and walking as desirable methods of travel.

This can be done online via this link (the documents can also be viewed online and downloaded) or by visiting your local library where hardcopies of the documents will be available.
