Q. What kind of road works information is listed on this website?
A. We show works which we believe will cause disruption to local roads in Stockport.

Whether the work is implemented by the Council itself, such general road maintenance and highway improvements or whether it's the Public Utilities who have a legal right to work on the roads, we will provide details of all roadworks with which the Council are involved.

Q. Who do I contact for the more information about roadworks?
A. If the work is being undertaken by Stockport Council, such as road maintenance or improvements then please contact the Streetscene Hotline.

Public utility companies such as: BT, Transco and United Utilities, also conduct work that impacts the local road network. Their work should be identified by clearly posted signs. For more information on these works please contact the companies directly or call the Streetscene Hotline.
