The following draft policies have been developed to improve the way in which Stockport Council addresses obstructions on the highway.

3. Draft Control of Skips, Containers, Scaffolding, and Hoardings on the Highway Policy
4. Draft Advertising Boards and Trade Goods Obstructions Policy.

These policies are currently open for consultation with the public and businesses. We are particularly interested in what you think about the following:
1. The proposed changes to the way in which cafés on the highway are licenced.
2. The proposed rules surrounding permission to place a café area on the highway.
3. The proposed addition of containers to the process used to issue permits to skips etc.
4. The proposed need to show the permit on skips etc.
5. The proposal to licence Advertising boards and goods on the highway
6. The proposed rules surrounding permission to place Advertising boards and goods on the highway.
