Since the mid 1980’s, under a Manchester wide restriction, the sector of Stockport to the north of the M60 orbital motorway running through Stockport, has an overnight HGV parking ban on goods vehicles over 3.5 Tonnes.
This restriction also applies to buses, coaches and trailers.
The order is in force between 7pm and 7am each night and any time on Sunday.
